Knightly camps and displays of medieval way of life, handicrafts fair, exceptional gastronomic offerings and culinary competitions, festival of cultural intangible heritage, arranged carts depicting traditional and peasant life that exists no more, exhibitions, entertaining performances are just a part of the rich and diverse program of Picokijada.

Over 2500 members of numerous associations, organizations, institutions, and creatives from all over Croatia participate in the multi-day program. The title of European Destination of Excellence in preserving intangible cultural heritage, the status of protected intangible cultural heritage of Croatia, titles “Simply the Best” as the best Croatian thematic event and “Sunflower of Rural Tourism,” are guarantees of quality of one of the oldest and largest events in continental Croatia, Picokijada.
